I am waiting for oath since March (test was 21st of March)... I just checked and my ECAS was updated with oath (sent letter Nov 5th and ceremony Nov 25th)!!!

Good luck to Harnit, and March test takers and all of you there waiting for the oath).

I wish CIC would be consistent with their work. I get it...some applications take long because of "certain complications" but hell what about the ones that have zero complications..."routine applications"?

Makes absolutely no sense why some have to wait too long to see any progress on their files. Do they even understand that people literally put their lives on "hold" just for test or interview notification and even oath?

Sorry guys, I just felt like venting this morning. ;D ;D i feel better now.

It seems my wife called CIC last week, the agent was so cooperative and agreed that no oath after 6 months isn't normal and she said that she will write a letter to Scarborough office to expedite the oath. Few days later, we got the oath scheduled!

I called 2 days ago:

8888-242-2100, once you listen to the option do 4, then do 0. It will tel you the waiting time if there is any agent available as well. Mon - Fri by the way.

receipt: February 19, 2015.
processing: April 1, 2015.
citizenship test (actually interview >55) on July 3, 2015 at 8:15 AM.
decision made: Oct. 3
citizenship ceremony to be held on November 27, 2015 at 8:30 AM.

Hi All....

Thought just to inform all of you guys that one of my other friend has their exams at SCARBOROUGH location on 11th Sep,2015 and now status online shows letter sent out for

an OATH CEREMONY TO BE ON 27th November,2015. by the way they applied as a family of three wife,daughter and husband.

i think they sent their application bigenning of Jan,2015.

Guys need some advise.

I just got my test done and decision made at Scarborough.

I am intending on going for a holiday from Christmas to mid January. :

Looks like oath will possibly be 2 months after that (current trend), which will fall around just after the new year when I am away!

Do you think CIC will stretch due to Christmas holidays to maybe 2.5 to 3 months? (I wont let then know.) :

Should I or should I not inform CIC? If I do so when do I let them know? :

Just worried that if I inform them they will put my file at the back of a long list again.

What's you take? :-\

Now a days CIC in full swing and arranging several oath in a week, I strongly recommend

wait and once the oath come finish this matter if you try to hold or postponed this will

very time consuming and than you have to have long wait. One of my friend went

to middle east on urgent basis and postponed his oath now he is awaiting for

last 110 days.. Decision is yours ?
