Did anyone notice, there doesn't seem to be any oath ceremonies scheduled for August in Scarborough? :O
there are no dates shown on line, but based on the tracker there are dates a few dates early august up to the 9th Aug. So there are ceremonies.

if you have not received an invite, then you are unlikely to be part of the currently planned events/dates. Invites are sent at least 2 weeks in advance, however recent trends have been upto a month in advance.

According to the spreadsheet, all ceremonies after July 31 are in Mississauga. Maybe they are trying to aggregate people from the GTA to hold bigger and more frequent ceremonies.

Hi all,
Out of curiosity, We live in Whitby, so our processing office will be Scarborough, when can we expect test invite after in process status ? And within how many months we get our citizenship status after in process if everything goes well ? Kindly advice. After getting citizenship, within how many months we can get Canadian passport ?

You can expect the process to take 10-12 or more months for the entire process, if everything goes well. The interim timelines vary widely based on the individual application. (IP-test, test-DM, etc.) Passport timelines can be next day to 4-5 weeks depending on if you request expedited service.

You can get the passport in 2 weeks if you apply in person at Whitby passport office...unless you prefer to pay extra fees for urgent passport processing.

My citizenship application took 8 months and 20 days from mailing the application until completing the Oath Ceremony. You can assume that it will be complete in 8-12 months.

Yes, people in this forum does not represent everyone in the world.
However, the invitations had been steady before and now it is completely stopped.
Another day with no invitations. Something is not right...

Based on the ceremony dates available here, it seems that there has been a sort of strategic planning to centralize all ceremonies in Mississauga (and probably focusing solely on decision making process in Scarborough ?!) , since there is no more ceremony to be held in Scarborough, but there is at least one ceremony every day in Mississauga (at least till the Aug 17). If that's really the case, I don't mind the change, as long as it speeds up the whole process.
