FRUSTRATING : My mom landed on March 4th 2020 and after that I have called CIC agents and spoke with them at least 5 times and send at least 5 webform in regards to her first PR card and they always says " PR card is in process" and it is delayed because of COVID-19 but yesterday I got a letter...

Whom should I contact in regards to first time PR card delay other than CIC call centre and web form ?

Does any of your parents landed in Canada and if yes, did they receive their PR card yet ? If not, do we have any other option rather than waiting ?

Yes , it may be only for a shorter period due to COVID-19 but people can access any treatment which is covered under OHIP, it's not only for COVID-19 to my understanding. Thanks.

Hi Folks, Just to let you know that if any of your parents are already landed here in Ontario, Canada. They can apply for their OHIP card and get the 3 months waiting period exempted now. Service Ontario will issue a temporary file number you can use. Good luck !

She is Indian citizen with multiple entry visa to USA and even had for Canada but Canadian multiple entry got canceled because she is a PR now (once she land). She needs PR card for entering USA even though she has multiple entry visa ? TIA.

I'm 5 years in Canada, a citizen now ! Kind of settled here , Own a home, own two cars without any finances or lease. Earns around $105 per year (Myself). My parents got their PR here. Sister is in states. Still sometimes think of moving back to India but I don't know the reason behind it !
