Hi Guys.

Following is my timeline:

Application (citizenship) submitted: Oct 26th 2017
Notice for Test: Jan 5th 2018
Test date (Scarborough): Jan 29th 2018
Online status changed to "DECISION MADE": Feb 5th, 2018
Letter for Oath Ceremony: ??

is there anyone else with similar timelines? People who took the test in Mississauga atleast 2 weeks after me had their oath ceremony in April.
I wonder how much more will I have to wait.

When I spoke with the interviewer at Scarborough she said the interview-DM-oath timelines vary by office. Just because someone took the test after you at a different office doesnt mean their timeline and/ processing is similar to yours. Scarborough tends to invite early for tests it seems but takes forever for Oath invitiation. Mississauga on the other hand can be very delayed in invitiing for tests but oath is pretty quick after that. Alot of Oct people from Sauga are still waiting for test invites.

Those who are still waiting for test invites from Mississauga office may still get their Oath before us, even though we have been waiting for Scarborough's Oath invite since months! :(

Hi Friends,

Finally, I received an email this morning for my Oath Ceremony for June 16th for Scarborough.. thank you all and Congratulations to all the received the letter today .. seems Scarborough is pushing Oct applicants.
Updated the tracker. Congrats!!

You better believe that.

Looking at the application tracker (excel), looks like they haven't started giving out invites for Canada day. There are some people who have invites for July 3rd and 4th but nothing for July 1st. Maybe, large invite batches will be going out very soon?

In most cases i've noticed that Scarborough office sends invites within relatively short notice compared to other offices, i think we've seen applicants receiving invites yesterday for July 3rd/4th ceremonies in Edmonton and Calgary (i.e. more than a month before the ceremony date), while Scarborough typically sends Oath invites 2 weeks or 2.5 weeks before the actual event (although ECAS lies and gives a sooner date :) ).

With that said, my guess is - for July 1st ceremonies in Scarborough and surrounding areas the invites should start coming on week of 11-Jun...i.e. anytime between Jun 11th to Jun 15th.

Lets wait and see what happens...i hope we won't be disappointed and those additional ceremonies in Canada day help clearing-up all the backlog and ends the misery for all those waiting!

The painful moment is when you see that some applicant who applied after you got Oath invite while you are waiting for months. This makes most of disappointment and frustration .....IRCC tested us with knowledge and now testing with patience...But how much patience we should have to end this waiting game... It feels like when Bill C6 was in senate for 3rd reading and it was going on and on....:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I can absolutely relate to the frustration you’re feeling.
We applied a month before you and had our DM on January 25th. After that it seemed to be an endless waiting game, watching people getting their oaths.
The positive was that we had the DM status and, seeing this forum, knew we weren’t alone.
I would check my email ten times a day &
I used to say, we’ll get it the day we’ll least expect it.
And that’s exactly what happened.
I was at a doctor’s appointment and was casually deleting old emails and suddenly this popped up.
I couldn’t believe my eyes.
By my timeline, you still have a month’s wait. But, it can happen any day.
Take heart. It’ll happen. Soon.

Did you also go through the PR process? If so and you are still complaining and wondering about the process - i have no pity for you. Everyone with half a brain has figured it out that there is no rhyme or reason to the process. It depends on the location, persons application and mainly - which officer your file happens to end up in front of. Give up with the self pity, its embarrassing, use your head and enjoy the summer.

I have urgency now, I have to leave Canada but my family members passports are expired. I do not want to renew their current passports and later again apply for Canadian Passport which will cost me double. How I contact them at this moment now...Web form is useless. They should keep some way for urgent situation like myself while you are in final stage waiting for infinite . Every applicant's scenario is not same.
