  1. We sent you a notice on March 17, 2018 to appear and take the oath of citizenship at the citizenship ceremony to be held on April 21, 2018 at 10:30 AM. The notice you will receive will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
*Note: Citizenship and Immigration Canada does sometimes schedule events on Saturdays or Sundays.

I have no idea because I have already a job with government and my screening checks done by them in detail!
I see you are a July applicant. Let us know if you get the oath, if not by this week call the customer service and advise them that July applicants are getting the oath and the status of yours, get back with us and let us know the result.

I am Nomveber 15 Applicant. We are family of 4. We had passed test yesterday and received DM today.

Now waiting game starts :)

Well there is 2 pop up ceremony one in Toronto April 6 and north York March 27 well I guess no one the forum got invite for either.

Only 5 days with Ceremonies planned for April in Scarborough so far....(03rd, 11, 14, 18 and 21)

At this rate i hope i will get my Oath invite before the 31-December 2018!!

Are all the fees we paid for processing not sufficient to get our Scarborough part-time Judge do a little extra hours?! :(

As has been mentioned in this thread before, I don't think there is any pressure or urgency for them to clear the backlog, so long as they are getting applicants to DM in 12 months. Otherwise, they'd rent out a gymnasium and do 1,000 applicants at a single ceremony!

This would require the same time and/or more judges - so it isn't a solution.

Have you guys actually looked at the difference in dates in the locations? Scarborough, Toronto, Hamilton, Kitchener etc? Have any of you considered that each location doesn't have its own judge?

Right now, a single judge does 90 at a time, as has been reported, I suspect due to the room capacity. If they had more capacity in the room, the same judge could preside over more applicants at a single ceremony. And yes, lots of these places have rotating judges, which furthers my point as well. If they truly were interested in clearing a backlog, they'd perform the ceremony at a location that held more people.

Wrong - because the judge needs to ensure that each applicant is actually reciting the oath. So they would either need more judges or more time - and currently, they have neither. That's why we are having this conversation.

It's not just about space.

How does the judge do that? It was my impression they had people walking the aisles, making sure people are reciting it, not just the judge.
