Apparently our packaged arrived at the Mississauga office on Thursday haven't heard from CIC yet.. but it's a little bit exciting.. heh

I know there are other posts about this elsewhere on the forum, but wondering if any of you guys know about the strike, and if there's any expected end date?! the sooner the better for us obviously hah

Got PPR this morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was long 8 months.... :'( ;D ???
I want to thank everyone here for being part of it with me and for helping me every time I needed. I wish a speedy visa to all of you still waiting.
I'll post again when I get my passport back.

Braziliangirl, just so you can add it to the spread sheet, I got an email from CIC on Friday.. Confirming they received my app, and gave me a uci number I guess that would be considered my AOR. Thanks!

Hi Friends ,
I received mail from CIC for passport request on 13 sept.Sent 18 sept.
I did have some problems to send my passport cus they ask for paid return envelpoe for my passport.
SO at last i choose DHL courrier cost 210 reais.but the DHL said i need to inform them when the passport is ready to collect fron CIC.
Now My question is any one how long it takes for visa stamped o how will i know that my passport is ready for pick up.
Any one pass in situation like this ?

Ajay, are you out of Brazil? No need for pre-paid return envelope if you're within Brazil.
If you're sending passport from abroad then I suggest you to email the visa office and ask them to let you know for the reasons you explained above.

I am living in rio de janeiro.
i also sent mail for re-inquiry saopaulo.but did not receive any reply.
i just noticed our dates match for sending the passport to sao paulo CIC.

Well, I am sorry you spent all that money to mail your passport... If you read the email they've sent, it says there the return envelope is required only in case you want it to be sent abroad...
Try to email this person here: Maura Mondin maura.mondin@international.gc.ca She just replied to me today btw.
Her phone # is : 11- 5509 4333, but it is nearly impossible to get a hold of her by phone. I was never able to.

I received my passport back with my visa/COPR today! Iam so happy I'll be going home soon... Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
Exact 8 months + 3 days since applied.
It's been a week only I forwarded my passport! It came back super fast!
