Dear all,

Would like to know how good is salary of 17.62$ per hour for a family of two, how much wud be left after deducting tax , i checked different online tax calculator but got different figure everytime.

Depends where you plan to live. But overall, it's on the low side.

Assuming you work 40 hours a week, thats 704.8 per week.
Multiply by 52 weeks in a year, thats 36,649.
I use simpletax.ca/calculator which gives 31,528 after tax if there is no other deduction.

That means 2,627 take home pay per month.

Toronto very expensive, GTA still expensive, further away like Kitchener Waterloo, London less expensive....
In ON esp Toronto, rents are crazy expensive but still you are lucky to still have a job even before u arrive

Minimum wage is approx 10-12$

$11.40 is minimum wage. I suggest that you look at glassdoor.com or a similar website to check if the rates are competitive, depending on the nature of work and skill involved.

In Kitchener 2625 per month would be just enough to get by for two people. You wouldn't save much though, if at all.
