Is it possible to apply for a refugees Travel Document before getting the approval? I’m waiting for my hearing to be scheduled, I applied in August 2020.

You applied for refugee but you are not ACCEPTED YET

SO WHEN YOU LL GET PROTECTED REFUGEE STATUS THEN YOU CAN APPLY FOR RTD

But, you can apply for a Certificate of Identity while you're waiting for your approval. you can use it to travel. I did that before I became a protected person.

same place you apply for the RTD, but they are processing only urgent Certificate of ID./ urgentRTD now. What I have noticed on this forum is, ppl just answer the questions without knowledge of the situation.

Hey,Could you please explain a bit more as i have a friend in same situation and he wants to travel he is a refugee claimant and his passport is seized.

He can’t travel until he has been approved as a protected person. If he travels before he abandons he asylum claim
