A7 – Applicant has self declared having less than 1095 days of physical presence.

In my opinion, the risk indicator outlined in red is the reason why you got RQ.

Absolutely ! So it's not because of your trips to the US or Taiwan. It's because you are SELF EMPLOYED/CONSULTANT with SOME TRAVEL.
You could have avoided it if you used another designation or title instead of "Consultant".

admontreal ,

I still think CBSA can track our residency obligation no need of huge paper work in RQ.
difference between 2 entries within Canada can justify the exit duration. They just need to see recent 2 entries and do a delta and see how long the person has been outside Canada.

I understand what you mean, but it can't be reliable. If it was that simple, CIC would already work with that, as they do now in Australia.
Here's what I tried to explain with an example :

Joe is a Permanent resident of Canada

He entered Canada in Toronto Pearson on 2012-01-01 (Recorded by CBSA, as their record entries)
Joe left Canada via Montréal Trudeau on 2012-02-01 (Not recorded by CBSA, as they DON'T record exits)
Joe entered Canada via Toronto Pearson on 2012-12-01 (Recorded by CBSA)

CBSA has only the 2 entries registered, according to your rule, Joe stayed 11 months in Canada, but in fact, he has been around for only 1 month ! And CIC has no way to know that unless they had recorded the exits as well.

according to joe his none presence inside Canada is 10 month and according to CIC it is 11 month. Still the days are counted as pessimistic. Yes you are right it cannot be calculated just based on delta of 2 entries.

Lets say a person files citizenship and he only has one entry to Canada stamp during the relevant period.
e.g. He his days are counted from Jan 01, 2010 to Jan 01, 2014. And his entry stamp is on Mar 01. Total exit from his 4 yr period is 60 days ( Jan 2010 and Feb 2010). In that case his total completed days are 1400 (1400-1095=305). He has 305 buffer days. So will he still be questioned for RQ. It is so ridiculous if someone still gets RQ

Mainly driving to US creates lot of confusion/inaccuracies in the records. Many people are RQed because of that and it takes a while for CIC to figure those it seems.

Shopping/driving trips across the border can turn out to be expensive. :)

I agree with vinaypuri. I know it costs money and time to issue a new I-94 during each entry. But when it comes to RQ and how much hassle it causes, the cost of paying and waiting for a new I-94 during each entry is nothing.

Q 10: Where have all of your family members (e.g. spouse, common-law partner, children, mother, father, brothers and sisters) lived during your relevant period?

Do i need to Mention Travel History for Spouse and Kids or just state that they lived in Canada With Me?
Let say they traveled outside canada 10 times in the last 4 years, so need to put all of them .Even Day trips to USA for shopping?

No, you can call CIC asking if RQ is entered into the system or not. I sent my RQ on May 2nd and by 5th it was entered into the CIC's system that they received it.

Last time when I called them, they are saying it is still under review. Not sure how much time will they take to review and give date for oath. :( ... I hope soon.
