Application Received: July 03, 2012
* Process application: Jan 6, 2013
* Residence questionnaire request: Mar 11, 2013
* Residence questionnaire sent all the supporting documents: Apr 15 , 2013
* Fingerprint Request: Apr 21, 2013
* Fingerprint sent: May 05, 2013
So, now the finger prints will be needed before the tests?

So, I have available to me the following list of proof:

  • Complete photocopies of my passports
  • Apartment rental contracts since 2008
  • Home insurance policies since 2008
  • T4 slips for the years I had income
  • Complete set of monthly credit card statements since 2008

I was sponsored for residency by my common law spouse. Do I need to provide proof of our relationship to prove my family ties to Canada?

What else do I need?

Hello Everyone,

I have a few questions regarding the RQs received from Mississauga, Glen Erin Office as below. I would appreciate if you could please respond.

1. Are RQs received from Mississauga all processed in Mississauga or are they sent to St. Clair office? Any experience here?
2. How many people have got a test date after submitting RQ response? How much was the average wait time?

My timeline is below. I would appreciate if you could share yours. Any one got test dates after RQ?

We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on April 18, 2013.

We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on April 18, 2013. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

We started processing your application on June 27, 2013.

Received RQ : July 19, 2013

Sent RQ: August 28, 2013

Hello Canadian24!

I don't know the answers of your questions.

Your application is moving very fast.

May I know, what exactly CIC asked you to submit in support of RQ?

that sure was fast although not the best thing to happen receiving an RQ. I this Mississauga is the fastest local office currently. Lots of people reporting hearing from them quite quickly.

For the benefit of all would you mind sharing where did you receive your RQ from? Sydney or Mississauga? You can either look at the postmark on the envelope they sent to or by the address they've asked you to send the completed package.

Thanks!

No, it is not. There are many cases here that are being processed and completed without RQ.
