RQ before test , timeline

Can anybody suggest what should we indicate on question number 6 of the RQ form. It asks "are you in the process of applying for PR in any other country?"Now we are not a permanent resident of US yet however my spouses' sibling sponsored us long time ago and from the last update of the US visa center seems like it will take another 1.5 to 2 years before getting a US immigrant VISA. Thanks everyone.

Do not worry. You are NOT in a process of applying US Green Card/Permanent Residency. You and/or your wife has not filled or submitted any US permanent resident form. Your extended family has filed for sponsorship and it will take a while before you get your visa numbers. After then, you'll have to fill and submit forms... only then it will be considered that you intend to live in USA. So, feel free to answer no to that question in RQ. There are folks who have taken US green card after applying for Canadian Citizenship, still they became Canadian Citizen.

Well what is your waiting time?applied in feb 2010.
i had a test in march 2011 then submit rq same day.
still waiting waiting.
its december 2012 no response.

I am also from St.clair office. Done my test Nov.2011, submitted RQ docoments Jan.2012.
Since then, no updates. I ordered ATIP reports twice which showed that my RQ documents were not touched by anybody for the past several months. I will order another ATIP soon. Hopefully there is some update. Wish you good luck!

Well they told me may be i applied little early and i was not completed 1095 days ,but thats wrong i completed my 1095 days.
well you cant fight with them.

I can not post link here. Simply google it.

You can request your application information at CIC office.
It will probably tell you why you got RQ. If you passed the test or not. Your current status etc.

I was informed that the RQ process timeline for st.clair office is 12-18 months.
I don't know why it takes you so long.
You can write a letter to St.Clair CIC office. Tell them it is beyond the claimed timeline already, ask them to process your case right away.

i got same situation , i got RQ before test,
i applied on june 6, 2012, sydney received my application on june 11, 2012, i received Discover Canada on august 13, 2012.
processing on november 16, 2012, RQ before test on dec 24, 2012

Have you obtained your GCMS notes - this will indicate what the issue could be.

No GCMS.
I really dont believe on this,
they will take time no matter wat happens,
i have been told it wont be longer so iam not messing up with them,
well i found out it can take upto 48 months after RQ.

My fingers are cross and hope for the best..!!

Its always adviseable to get your GCMS notes - there may be a reason for the delay that you can easily resolve. I recall on either this or some other forum an applicant finding out from the GCMS notes that they had failed the test and were schedueld to see a Citizenship Judge.
