Hi. I received RPRF on 18th May'17 and paid it the sameness day. There has been no movement since then. What are the next steps? BG status has always been 'Not applicable'.

On this forum, some people have received PPR within 2 weeks and some have received upto 3 months from RPRF payment date. What is the process?

Next step is bg status in IP2 and then PPR. Timeline depends on the type of application. PNP is slower and express entry is fast. Secondly it would be processed faster if all documents are clean.

Sure they could, it all depends on your background/security check. I even heard stories from people receiving PR and it was canceled before they could even board their flight, if they see something fishy then you could expect being denied and RPRF fee would be refunded.
