hello everyone

I got a question? I just got the sponsorship approval few days ago.
actually my lawyer didn't ask me to pay the RPRF fee upfront.
And read somewhere that If I don't pay the RPRF fee at the same time I paid the application fee, It would delay the process by 8 weeks when they ask for it.

Could I just pay the fee right now and email them the receipt? would that be possible?( like medical that could be done before they ask 4 it)

If the answer is yes, How would I get it done ?

thanx in advance

Yes, you can pay it now, no you cannot email it, you have to post it to the address for such correspondence:

RPRF payments or other correspondence:
CPC Mississauga
P.O. Box 6100, Station A
Mississauga, ON
L5A 4H4

You may fax or email a copy to the visa office, though.

will do, thanks charlie for the quick response,

what form of payment should it be? could someone else like my brother pay it using his credit card ?

Yes, your brother can use his CC to pay it. Ensure the sponsor and applicant information is correct so it can be matched to your application.

I strongly advise everyone to pay the RPRF upfront. I am currently working with an immigration consultant who did not tell me to do this - I can see that this mistake had added at least 2 months to my processing time. This being said...I am not very confident that I have been told properly the process that I should take to pay the RPRF. I am applying from outside of Canada for family class (spousal) permanent residency. I am going through the Buffalo processing center. I just want to ask if I have followed the appropriate steps to finalize my immigration?

1) December 8, 2012 - Letter sent to Global Visas (my consultant) saying no interview necessary - and to pay RPRF.
2) January 20, 2012 - Actually received this letter from Global Visas (over a month later) & paid RPRF online to Mississauga as instructed.
3) January 20, 2012 - Faxed a copy of the payment receipt to Mississauga CPC (Fax: 905-803-7392) as instructed.
4) February 29, 2012 - Still waiting for status change online, still showing "In Process"

Are these the correct steps to pay this fee? Is this wait too long, is something not right?

I would greatly appreciate any help regarding this matter. Thank you.

Hello all,

I am also confused about this RPRF...

When do we have to pay this fee? RPRF fee it means the visa issuance fee?

I know there is a file fee for obtaining CSQ, another one is for processing file fee, but I didn't know about this RPRF fee...and not paying in time this fee could delay your visa issuing....?!

Anyone would like to clear me out in this matter?

Thank you in advance!

Thank you in advance!

We had to pay the RPRF upfront. It sure will delay the processing times for at least 2 months.

So as I am instructed by the seniors from the site, we should pay it ASAP .
on immigration site says:
For the acquisition of permanent resident status
$490

This fee is payable by principal applicants (with some exceptions) and accompanying spouses and common-law partners. It must be paid before the immigrant visa is issued overseas or before the applicant becomes a permanent resident in Canada.

The following applicants are not required to pay this fee:

* dependent children of a principal applicant or sponsor, a child to be adopted, or an orphaned brother, sister, niece, nephew or grandchild; and
* protected persons, including Convention refugees.

And it is possible to pay it either using credit card or money order from a bank.

hope this helps

Hi Guys
I have a question, if any one can reply it that will be great.
I have paid the RPRF fee in Jan 2012 when outland visa office(New Delhi) asked for passport request. My spouse submitted her passport along with scanned copy of the receipt, BUT I haven't send any copy to CPC Mississauga. Now when I contact my Member of parliament he said confirmation request has been send by New Delhi visa office to cpc Mississauga regarding the submission of fee. I am just wondering do I need to send receipt to CPC Mississauga also or just scanned copy to NewDelhi visa office was fine ?
thx

Hello Everyone

Friends I have a question about RPRF , If someone can answer ...

We paid RPRF when we got our sponsorship approval ... we did not send receipt to CIC mississauga at that time ....
When I got PPR call from new delhi ,at that time I had sent the RPRF receipt to ndvo along with the passport .... Now my GCMS says RPRF fax sent to CIC Mississauga for confirmation of payment ..... Is it normal ....can cic mississiauga still confirm the payment to NDVO as they have obviously received the payment ... I am a bit confused on this ....is there anyone who has sent the RPRF receipt to NDVO only and got the VISA.

Hello,

If I send RPRF draft to New Delhi visa office then how much time they take for sending fee receipt ?
I want to pay this fees before they ask me to pay in order to avoid processing delay.
