Since they requested additional documents and didn't request an interview and since they asked you to pay your PPR. It's a very good sign. I sponsored my husband and his application was processed in Damascus and they asked the same. About 2 weeks ago they requested his passport after we submitted the additional documents they had requested..
Wait and see if they request the passport ususally they send a letter.... It's a sign that you are approved...
Good Luck!!!

May I ask what kind of documents they had requested from you???
They had requested from my husband to change his Marital Status & to add me on his family registration list in Lebanon because the marriage took place in Canada. Also they had requested to complete Travel documents for the last 10 years or since he was 18 and the last thing they asked to pay the PR fees.

BTW when they asked for additional documents, you can read through the following post and compare your letter to mine and compare

Mr. Lonely,

I can only echo what others have said, when you are passing through the system, and are being requested items and no interview call - this is good. When they are requesting additional items, and then they request the Right of Landing Fee - this is excellent - they would not request this fee to be paid, if they were not plannig to close the case [why request a fee they would have to refund if the person did not appear to have all items in order for approval???

My advice......Pay the fee as quickly as you can, so you can go to Canada!

thank you rasha...

i think they can't be that evil!!!!to ask the fee and then ask for further documents and act like nothing happened....i paid the fee 2 weeks ago and still there is nothing but i guess i will just hold on.

The only thing I could think of them asking for after all of if this, might be a repeat medical. They are good for 12 months, and if the processing has surpassed that 12 month period, they may request that medicals be redone - I have seen that happen, but really that is just a formality and once done, you should get the visa, if they ask this of you.

actully rasha my medical wiil be expired march 2010 ..so i think it is not so likely they ask for medical repeat ...all i can do know is to hope the best for myself and all who wait.

My husband medical expired also in March... so I guess they won't repeat them unless they have a reason not granting a visa for PR or perhaps loosing his passport.. just kidding.

u better be kidding because those are nightmares ....i think they should add the immigration process to the cause of heart diseases....and multi-psycholgical syndromes.
