No news on my end. Still waiting for SA, it takes more time due to new August form. I hope to hear something next week.

Hi All! Just to update my situation and maybe can be usefull for some of you guys...So Last tuesday I brought in person my passport copy plus the pics and the PPR request page to the Canadian embassy in Rome. The day after they sent me an email saying that the visa has been issued and on next Monday morning I'm going to pick it up...So it's possible to do everything in person with no problems and if the visa is for an italian passport is not necessary to send the original passport but it's enough a full copy of it.

On next 14th of nov I'm going to Canada to visit my wife but I didnt get the transfer with my job so I dont know if I should "land" or going as a tourist cause I'll need to go back in Italy after only 5 days..

What would you suggest? of course if I'll land I can start with all the documents like driver licence, my PR card etc..I should get my definitive transfer on march. At the end of the day I'm just trying to be 100% ready for march... what do u guys think? thanks!

PS: we submitted our complete application on the 22nd of July and we got my visa issued on the 4th of Nov...so the whole process was pretty fast and no expected like that at all! less than 4 months!!!

That is really amazing! Congratulations!
I think you should land on your next trip but you know better how long would you be outside of Canada each time you leave. Absence will affect your eligibility to apply for citizenship once you qualify but that isn't a big deal. Try to find out the rules about landing procedure if any. Maybe someone else will give you better advice if you post this in a new tread.

I don't know for sure but I really hope so! I sent some additional proofs of my RLT and after a few days e cas changed to in process.
I received an e mail from Rome a few days ago and they asked me to provide them with some additional documents within 60 days. I am going to send the add doc's within next week and lets see what's next.
I see that you got SA and your file transferred to Rome, I wish an easy and fast process!

What documents did they ask for? proof of relationship?

Thank you so much I am happy too because it's been almost 10 months since I sent my app. No, they didn't ask for more proofs of my relationship, I voluntarily sent some more proofs of RLT in the end of October and on November 4th e cas went to in process. In the mid of November they asked me to provide 3 documents:
1. Statutory Declaration of Common Law Union (IMM 5409) I know it was not a required doc but they asked me to provide it.
2. Proof of medical completion - I included the medical receipt when I sent my app on February but they probably lost it, fortunately I have a copy and
3. Original fingerprints I don't know why they require my fingerprints, it's strange

At least after almost 10 I have some news and i want to believe that it's gonna be good news

I am sure it will be positive news very soon. Maybe in 2-3 weeks!! Its about the time, they made you wait for so long!

What does RLT mean? Yeah it is strange that they request fingerprints, oh well ... as long as they finally give you papers!!

My partner is in Canada for almost two months now but I am still in Greece. I have to give one month notice to my employer to leave the job so as soon as I receive passport request I am going to make arrangements for Canada. If everything goes fine with Rome I will be able to be there on January. Tomorrow I send the documents they requested and I hope they make a decision.
Sorry for the confusion with RLT, I meant relationship and I probably made my own abbreviation :-[

our ecas updated to decision made for sponsorship part and medicals received. I am not sure how soon it will go in process but at least something is happening.

Our ecas changed to IP as of December 8! Panos did you get decision made?
I thought they only worked on one app at time?

Got PPR request on December 15th!!!!! Copy of passport sent the same day.
