Also, my ecas status says medical results received. I'm not sure if that means that Rome received my application but I doubt it since it was only transferred there on Thursday, is it usually Rome or Mississauga that adds medicals received?

It depends sometimes Mississauga and othertimes the v.o updates the medical in my case my status never changed to medical received

Good question

My husband is 7 years younger than me. We got engaged after 8 months and married after 13 months. I fear that they will question HIS intentions in marrying me.

But I also have a lot of reason to believe they WON'T call us for an interview - my friends and family came to Italy for the wedding, we speak a common language (Italian), we both don't practice in our particular faiths, I've visited him 7 times for 2 weeks or more, etc.

I just think that the age and language thing will make them want to look into us further. It was very difficult filling out the forms in English when English is his 3rd language.

I PRAY that won't happen but I am preparing myself just in case...

Hi Niki, if you are past the usual timelines on the CIC website, I would call the CIC call centre in Canada. They will have answers for you

Also you should join a March 2014 or April 2014 thread to see if other people who applied after you are getting AOR or SA before you..

Ah, ok. 13 months before getting married isn't bad at all! The age thing might be a bit of a concern but if that is your only thing I wouldn't worry too much. It is good that you are prepared but as an outsider looking in, I don't think you should be too worried!

It's free, there is a smart phone app and it isn't too boring. I'm using it to learn Italian.

Dont worry about age difference. As long as you can prove an healthy and steady relationship they will not be interested on your age differences.
I am 29 year senior to my wife and there was no cause for any alarm from Vienna and believe Vienna is a VO who is hassling applicants very strictly! Rome is kinda fair on issues like these!
