Hey CharlizeRai yes please and thanks ;)

Mine is very short:

Application received by CIC 04/05/2012
Sponsorship approval 30/07/2012
Medicals done 20/03/2012 ( I`m not sure about the exact date)

We are Bulgarian lovers :D

After all day crying yesterday I pulled myself together and me and my hubby decide that we will try for a visiting visa.I am not sure they will grand me it but at he the end we decided do it for the sake of it. So I was wondering if I buy two ways tickets that will give me a better chance and I'm still studding I can get a document saying I'll be returning at the beginning of September (witch I will be doing regardless), or if this will sound better if I put an employment note( my parents own a company so that's a plus side too ). Please people advice us what to do, feeling so desperate right now.If we do the out-land sponsoring it will take up to 18 months so we are hopping for the faster way.

Hi Deshulina,

Sorry this process is taking so long :(

I don't know too much about a visitor visa as we didn't attempt to get one (apparently the chances are unlikely). I am not entirely sure what they will look at when granting, but I definitely think ties to home (job/family etc) is helpful. Is your PR application already in process?

Hello CharlizeRai,
Thank you for the fast replay, we haven't send anything yet, still waiting on my police check up form London, so still gathering documents. That's why we were hoping for the visa so we can do it in-land.

Make sure you prove strong ties (properties, job anything) and enough funds. Try a short term visit (a few weeks, maybe this spring break). I don't think the tickets will convince them you will return if they suspect anything. If you can afford them and the refund clauses, go ahead, they won't do any harm (but don't apply for a 6 months visit without a strong reason).
If I would've had money while still being a student, I would've applied for a 6 months language course or something (less than 6 months courses don't require student visa, only visitor)

Best of luck!

And don't cry anymore, officers feed on that :P :P :P

Hey all.

So there is light at the end of the tunnel!

Alina finally got her passport request. She has sent her passport to the Embassy now, and we expect it back within 15 days. Then, she will land in Canada and we are all done. Keep the faith everyone, it is worth it in the end. It's not a matter of IF, just a matter of WHEN - if you keep telling yourself this, it makes things much easier.

Stay well and good luck to everyone.

Mat

MAT!

That's awesome!! Congratulations!

My hubby lives in Bucharest so he dropped it off himself at the embassy! He dropped it off last week Wednesday, and they called him today to pick it up! SO he has his COPR too!! So i hope it reaches you sooner than their 15 working days!!!

So happy for you!

Congrats to both of you!!!! Wow how great is the feeling at the end!!! This keeps me going!
All the best! :)

Hey guys!
I just got an e-mail from Bucharest VO requesting my passport and 2 photos. I have to sent it as quick as possible because my medicals will expire on 20th of March. Basically is this:
"This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada.

In order to finalize the processing of your application, please provide us with the items cited below:

-ORIGINAL passports or travel document(s) with at least 12 months remaining validity for you and your dependent(s);

-2 recent photos for each applicant (passport size, on WHITE background; (see photo specifications - Appendix A available at: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5609ETOC.asp#appendixA );

-height (in cms) and eye color for all applicants.

Your visas will be valid for entry to Canada until: 2013/03/20

Please ensure that the above items together with this letter are sent to the Embassy within the next 30 days. Your application must be finalized prior to the expiry of your medicals and with sufficient time for you to settle your affairs and make travel arrangements. Your immediate attention to this request is critical to the outcome of your application.

Upon receipt of the above items, your application will be reviewed for final decision. In approved cases, a Confirmation of Permanent Residence form will be prepared for yourself and each member of your family. Immigrant visa counterfoils will be printed and placed in your passport(s). Your passport(s) should contain one blank page for your visa and one blank page for each child included in the document. Generally, the documents are issued and ready to be delivered after 15 working days from the date the passports are received at the embassy."

So I still don`t have final decision? I`m so excited and I can`t think properly!!!

Holy shit!!! That's awesome!
That's exactly what my hubby received, and now he has his visa in his passport!!!

What I would do is send that into Bucharest as quickly as possible, as they seem to have it finished in about a week, as opposed to 15 working days as they suggest!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!
