Right of permanent residency fee requested again

I submitted my application for PR in December 2011. The lawyer screwed up and it officially showing as received on April 19, 2012. Both fees 550 and 490) were paid with one money order at the time of sending the application. I just received a letter requesting the RPRF (490 dollars)again........

Can it be a mistake? I will just pay the fee again not to delay the application but how can a mistake like this happen?????

Was the money order cashed? Call CIC and see if they can look into this.

Gcms notes show that 550 has been allocated to processing fee and the other fee 460 owing ...... I found the copy of money order for 1040 bucks and check with the bank tomorrow if it has been cashed out. In the mean time i will just pay it again on line and argue with them later.

Has anybody been asked to pay the fee again? Has anybody argued with cic about charging it twice?

The request for the RPRF is probably just habit. Just send an email indicating that the RPRF has already been paid -
