Dear all!

I received recently from CPC-CTD-Ottawa this email:
___________________________________________________________
Dear ***:
This is in reference to your application for a permanent resident visa.
RPRF
We wish to remind you at this time that your Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) is outstanding. You must pay this fee before a permanent resident visa can be issued. The RPRF will be refunded if the application is refused, if you withdraw your application or if you choose not to use your visa.
___________________________________________________________
The thing is that I applied for the permanent residence in January from within Canada and I'm still living and working in Canada. I have already paid the required fee (490$) and then I realized: Why I need it if I'm already in Canada? And also it says "This is in reference to your application for a permanent resident visa." I applied for the permanent residence, but no for the permanent resident visa.

Any suggestions?

Right of permanent residence is a class of visa. Since you applied for it, you must pay before it is finally issued to you. If you do not pay, you do not have the right to remain and if found out, you may be deported unless you have another class of permanent visa.

Thank you very much for your answer. The thing is I have already paid the application fee (550$) after I sent my application in January. Is this fee which Ive just paid (490$) for actual permanent residence card or what?

$550 is the fee for processing your application.

As per

Applicants for permanent residence can pay the Right of Permanent Residence Fee ($490) at the time they submit their application or at a later date when requested. The processing fee is still required when submitting an application.

The following applicants are not required to pay the RPRF:

dependent children of a principal applicant or sponsor, a child to be adopted, or an orphaned brother, sister, niece, nephew or grandchild;
protected persons, including Convention refugees.

Hello dears, I applied for PR from India and now I am in SaudiArabia. From CIC I have got an email confirming my application is positive and I got UCI#. Now I have three questions.
1) Will I get an email from CIC or my Visa Office(NewDelhi) requesting me to pay the RPRF?
2) If so what is the timeline I can expect an email from them?
3) Can I pay it via nationalised banks dd in INR?

I am requesting you again.
I have received mail from delhi office to submit right of permanent residence fee.

My question is that can i submit RPRF fees online ????

Yes, you can pay it online.

If you are scheduled for an interview, then I advise you prepare for it and get all your documents ready, copies of everything you submitted with your application. It would be wise to also get a new police clearance certificate if the one you submitted is now expired or will soon expire. At the interview, you can ask the officer about your returned RPRF fee. If your interview is successful, you will asked to repay it, all the best.

Hi ALL,

I am not able to pay the "RPRF + PR Application Fees" from MY CIC website. The error turns up after uploading the documents, when one click on "Transmit & Pay" option.

Error is turning up since 19-Nov-16 till date.

Is anyone else facing similar problem?
