Returned packet???

Hey gang. So today I opened our mail box and to my surprise I found pretty much our entire, now disorganized, application packet sent back to us. I couldn't find an accompanying letter or anything. All the pages have "Received, the date and CPC Mississauga" stamped on it. Should I start freaking out? I have no idea what's going on. Help!!!

Your application was deemed to be incomplete.

Go through the document checklist again and try to figure out what was omitted from the application.

Add the missing document and resend it.

This looks as a rejection. Look for the accompanying letter. If you do not see it- call CIC.

Not likely.

If there was no letter with the application I wouldn't expect one.

What I would do is take everything and place it into separate piles and then go through the document checklist to determine if in fact you're missing something and what that something is.

CPC-M frequently returns incomplete applications.

Yes, it's odd that OP seems to not be able to find one/ one wasn't included.

Thank you all for your input. Ive scoured through the whole packet and there isn't a letter. I am missing my FBI background check and because that's still in process. More than 2 1/2 months now since I've sent it. That's the only thing that's missing from the entire packet. But it was my understanding that I could have moved forward with that sans BG check and forward it ASAP? Or am I gravely mistaken?

Did you include proof that you have applied for it?

I included mailing proof, and that it was delivered to the address and all. But I don't have anything else such as confirmation of receipt from the FBI, yet...

I had mine returned and there was a letter on the top. It will be difficult to figure out what is missing. I would not change the order they have organized it. Despite everyone talking about how to organize the application CIC has their own order.

I don't have any experience with the requirements for submitting the application without FBI check as you can see by my avatar my wife is Indonesian. We got her PCC same day she applied for it.

Maybe someone else can chime in.

@Sous02 a bit late for that unfortunately in my mad shuffling to find anything missing. I'll have to try to reorganize it.

@ImABlue much appreciated anyways. I have no idea other than that and I'm hoping that's all it is. Like many, I've spent many hours staring and double checking the checklist to be sure but I'll have to review it again. Rats!!! I was certain I had everything.

Double check the fee's you paid. It is unlikely they returned it for the FBI check. Were you approved as a sponsor? if not that would end the application.

Call CIC!!! There MUST be a letter. If it is missed - they made a mistake.

They do not let people guess about reasons of return.

(Maybe the letter stuck to the envelope inside? :)
