It would depend what kind of career background you have, an engineer resume format is very different than that of a marketing co-coordinator.

A website such as www.monster.ca will have several resume templates to browse through. That way you can tailor your resume to different jobs and styles that fit you as well.

I can't share my own resume as it took years for me to shape it into what I'm really proud of now. But I already gave you the format I follow. I was an engineering co-op student here in Canada and our career office at school trained us this way.

I can follow up with few tips on resume:

(1) Resume shouldn't be more than 2 pages and Page# 1 should have your most important info that will attract the employer
(2) Keep it 11 or 12 font size in most common types (i.e. Arial, Times New Roman)
(3) Make the bullets in reverse chronological order meaning that the most recent one being the first
(4) Cannot have any grammatical/spelling mistake knowing that resume sentences don't have to be proper ones starting with subjects
(5) Make the most use of action verbs
(6) GOOGLE is your best friend :)
