Restoration of Status. PR & OWP

I had status until 28 February, 2016. On 1 Feb I applied for an OWP and also my husband put in the application to sponsor me for PR. So I guess I had Implied Status after 28 Feb.
Well 2 days ago on 4 March my OWP application was returned because I forgot to include the IMM5710.
The application for PR must be okay so far as it was not returned.
Anyway I was told since my OWP was returned I have lost my Implied Status.
I have filled out the IMM5710 and am ready to re-send the complete OWP application to Missisagua.
I paid via Interac Online CAD$255 when I applied for the OWP. Is this payment still good or do I have to pay again?
What do I do to Restore My Status to visitor again?
Is it done online or do I have to fill out papers and mail together with my OWP.
This is so complicated. Help.

Do NOT send the OWP before you have been approved for Restoration of Status...because your OWP will be denied. You can use the same receipt, when you do re-submit.

I honestly don't know if you can apply for ROS online, but someone will undoubtedly tells us both.

You can apply for Restoration through the online tool here http://www.cic.gc.ca/ctc-vac/getting-started.asp. However, I suggest you apply for Restoration by paper and include the OWP app with it. It's possible that CIC will grant you the OWP upon Restoration.

Note that you need to pay an additional $200 for Restoration.

What did you send them that they returned? The IMM 5710 is the work permit application, if you didn't send that what did you send them?

I sent:
1) IMM1295 Application for Work Permit made outside of Canada
2) IMM5707 Family Information
3) Official Receipt for CAD$255.
4) Photocopy of passport
5) Two photos

The letter they sent me says I need to include the IMM5710
Just looking though the papers they retuned I have noticed that they did not return my photos or the IMM5707

You are not applying for a work permit from outside of Canada, so that is not the correct form.

I will apply for restoration of status first. Should I tell them that i went out of status because I applied for an OWP along with my PR but made a mistake in the OWP which resulted in the OWP being returned to me and my status expiring.

I had a similar situation like you. I applied for my OWP and PR together. But my OWP was returned as i forgot to sign it. So i again sent them the owp along with the restoration. Its been 5 months and i haven't heard from them.

Canuck_in_uk - may I ask if you know where to send the Restoration+OWP+PR pack? My PR/OWP was sent back for a missing document, and now I'm out of status. The Restoration is told to be send to Edmonton, however the OWP+PR should be sent to Mississauga
