Resolving Response from Social Assistance (PGP 2019)

In your case please call CIC Call Center:
CIC Phone # 1888-242-2100. Then press 2-1-3-0 right after you heard options to select.

I have called edmonton, calgary, grande prairie ( city i lived ) and no one has received any letter. I called IRCC today and they sent another letter on Jan 16 now.

Is there any number of Social Assistance department so that I can verify with then if they have responded to CIC request?

Call your area community and social services office !!! If you are lucky they might be able to help or else it’s a wild chase. No one actually knows where ircc requests go for AB
 
I’m in the same boat them. I’m from AB, on 2018 my husband got EI almost the whole year and I was on Maternity Leave. We have been stuck since Nov 2019. Do you know where we can call to ask for an update on the application? My LVO is Mexico

Did you still meet the income requirements to sponsor your parents during that time or did you dip below LICO?
 
Applied to sponsor my mom, I am in BC, my sponsorship has been in process since October 5,2019. Still no updates :(

That's good. As long as those other sources were fully declared in your tax return and appear on line 150 (and line 150 meets LICO) - you should be fine. I'm also assuming your husband was just on EI (not social assistance).

Yes I’m not worry about not being eligible for income I am just worry about the fact they can be checking further because of all of this. My husband was on EI.

I guess they should be checking if I really was on Maternity Leave.

If you LVO is Mexico, that would mean your sponsorship portion has been approved??

Ok, then you're fine in terms of sponsorship. You're past the stage discussed in this thread. Still plenty of time for you, don't panic. I've been in sponsorship IP since Sep 9th.

I thought they were double checking the minimum income with the PA too. That’s what I heard in another forum. Ok, thanks for your input.

Before looking for information about BC Social Assistance, please call CIC to be sure there is no response from them. I was just mentioning you one of the reasons your application may have stuck in process before sponsorship approval. Only few applicant from Alberta had this issue.
