Resolving Response from Social Assistance (PGP 2019)

IRCC sent a request to Alberta Social services to do a social assistance check on sponsor and co-signer in August.
It has been 6 months, I have talked to few different offices at Alberta Works but none of them know where these requests go.
I strongly believe these requests are getting lost somewhere

Hi , I had a newborn baby in 2018 and I went on maternity leave for couple of weeks. I found a new job with much better pay, so I decided to cut short my maternity leave and went back to work. Are they sending our file for social assistance check . My ECAS status shows in process for sponsorship side since January 13th this month. Our province is BC. Thanks for help.

I did not see anyone from BC whose file is stuck as In-Process due to this even though all files will go through this process to my understanding.
 
Hi, just catching up.
App received by IRCC May 17, 2019. GCMS notes say "case pending receipt of SSC-AB", dated Sep 9th. My income/child benefit
verification was done (by CRA-IVP) on Aug 22, 2019.

Ok got it, so part of background check at sponsorship stage every file goes through this social assistance check right?

I applied from Alberta and I think my case got social assistance check as well because my husband, the co-signer, sponsored me in 2017. My file was stuck in process since Sept. 9 but I got DM for sponsors on Jan. 15 and medical request on Jan. 16. I wanted to call the province to check on the social assistance status prior to DM but didn't do it.
My file was received on May 17. I hope your cases will move soon, I don't exactly know how the province responded to IRCC request but just to give you guys a bit of information here. Good luck!

Hey, thanks for this group. I moved from AB to BC . So ircc sent both letters on Oct 25. CRA verification is all done already. BC replied back on nov 25 and its negative . Waiting from SSC-AB. I have called edmonton, calgary, grande prairie ( city i lived ) and no one has received any letter. I called IRCC today and they sent another letter on Jan 16 now.

I applied in PGP 2019. I received a request for hand-written signature on IMM5669 form which I submitted in September 2019, and have not heard back from them since then. I am worried why they are not responding. Anybody is same situation?

You've posted your question to the wrong thread. This thread is discussing social assistance repayments.

Normally CIC will not send any acknowledgement to the document submittal. You can contact the call center and ask whether they have received. For June 25 applicants, not much is coming now.
Keep checking ecas for now.
 
Hi,
I am sponsor form BC. My application is stuck "IN PROCESS" since Oct 25 2019. What could be the reason? Can someone please advise what action I can take to check why isn't is moving ahead?
