In that case it must be Social Service Ontario. The sponsor can call the MLA's office and they may give some advise.

No MLAs in Ontario it is MPPs. There seems to be a balance owing from previous overpayment so that could be the issue. Ordering GCMS notes is probably the best option.

Are you sure that every file goes through social assistance check? Because what i have heard they only select people wiyh llow income and the file gets delayed

To the best of my knowledge the social assisance check is performed on all sponsors regardless of income.

how can people with high income be able to even apply for social assistance? So may be they only go through the check with lower income sponsors that could have applied for social assisntance. Or may be they get very quick response for high income sponsor checks.

It's not necessarily the sponsor who has applied for social assistance. The sponsor may have sponsored someone earlier who subsequently went on social assistance while the undertaking was still in place. This would mean the sponsor has to pay that social assistance back before they can sponsor someone else. I expect this is what happened here.

You are correct. I missed that part. It's the possible undertaking from previous sponsorship.
