So I know that to maintain your permanent residency you need to be in Canada for a certain number of days within a five year period but if you leave the country with your spouse who is a citizen of canada/permanent resident the days continue even outside Canada when you travel. My question is what if you choose to leave canada with your spouse whose a permanent resident and both begin to reside in another country together but still maintain your canadian status is it possible for the permanent resident to keep there pm status. please help thank you

I'm not sure I completely understand your question.
If you are a PR and you end up living outside of the country with your Canadian citizen spouse - then you will retain your PR status.
If you and your spouse are both PRs, then you must live in Canada two out of every five years to maintain PR status. Days lived outside of Canada will not count towards your PR residency requirement.

Yes the first part of your answer is what i was wondering yet it seemed difficult for me to explain in simpler terms if i for example am the canadian and the PR is the spouse yet we chose to live in a different country can u maintain residency and/or if the pr works or spouse worksscylla said:

If you are Canadian citizen and your spouse is the PR and you both are living together, working, etc... abroad, then yes the spouse still retains their PR status but none of the time will count towards citizenship. The PR must live in Canada 3 out of 4 years to apply for citizenship.
