Hello Ham172,

My husband is also canadian from Quebec we submitted our application this June 04, 2012 and he got approved this august 13, 2012 as a sponsor. We are done with the step 1 we are now on the step 2 for the sponsored applicant approval. Does it mean that I also might have some interview? If you don't mind may I know your timeline? Thanks! :)

hi chelseaviel

Sorry to have replied late. I didn't know someone posted a message for me. Anyway, I was just speculating maybe I would be interviewed because I met my husband online and we have a 12year age difference. I thought this would have raised a red flag. Here's my timeline:
Dec 2011 - Application filed
Feb 2012 - Sponsor approval; CEM passport request and additional documents
Mar 2012 - PP and documents submitted
June 2012 - Ecas update (appearance of current mailing address)

And here's the good news: My husband's canadian address appeared in my ecas this afternoon.

Hope to hear some good news tomorrow...

Naghahanap nga ako dito sa forum yung mga dumaan sa interview sa Manila Embassy... Parang wala yata masyado.

Hi sis Northyork, how was your interview last Oct 9? Hope you will be reunited with your husband this year. God bless

When the address changes to the one in Canada, it means the visa will be approved. Congratulations!

My wife's e-cas changed to show our address in Canada and less than 3 weeks later she has her passport back with the visa.

These are the signs to tell you that you are approved: e-cas shows Canadian address and decision made...

A HUGE congratulations to you! Can you please tell me what additional documents you took with you?

thanks you...I have 5 inches thick of additional documents. I never felt any nervous and she is asking me if I am sure that I don't need interpreter. Here are my list of my additional docs submitted:

1.) Sworn letter from my hubby's family who lives in USA & from my side also
2.) Remittance Slip (My receiving copy, and I ask my hubby to send all the receipt to me)
3.) Phone Bill (My phone bill, and my hubby's phone bill)
4.) Our daily conversation:
*** SMS message ( i took a photo & print)
*** Skype logs ( print screen photos included with family)
*** Yahoo messenger message
5.) Gift from his family (cards, letters, and even the box with stamp)
6.) Gifts from my hubby
7.) Some additional photos in the wedding, honeymoon, photos with family.

The V.O check it one by one especially the phone bill. Its about 1 hour checking of the docs and 30 minutes of interview. :)

CONGRATS sis for the successful interview ! May I ask if you have an idea why you were requested for an interview ?

Goodluck to the rest who will have an interview. Just be confident and pray.
