My FSW app was reviewed and recommended for further assessment. So I've passed the initial review but I've been reconsidering my commitment to move to Canada. I want to know if I am still eligible for a refund at this point? And assume that I go through the process, I heard that every docs sent for the 2nd review needs to be notarized, is this true? $550 is no small amount for me, the least I want is to go through it and get rejected later.

Help me out, bros.

yes, you are eligible for refund at this point.

anything that is required and is not an original, needs to be notarized. For my visa office, appendix A used to be ambiguous. They would say for some documents to be notarized copy and for others, they mention just a copy (and don't mention notarized copy) and of course, some were original. But on top of appendix A, they also say, all copies must be notarized.

When you submit your full application and receive an AOR

According to OP6, after the visa office gets your documents, they will review it again before they start processing it. While they review it, if you withdraw or 'fail', then you are refunded. If they start processing it, you will not get your refund. By processing, I mean things like security check, etc. The thing is, you don't know when they start processing it. It is not like they tell you that they are going to start processing it.

So to be safe, if you want to withdraw, you should withdraw now.
