Hi Everyone,
We submitted our Outland Spouse sponsorship application in Jan last week and received our AOR in mid March.
Our visa processing office is Mississauga.
We just got an request for submission of additional documents:
Photos of wedding ceremony.
Background of our case: We have known each other from the last 10 years and were dating for 3 years before marriage. All proofs in terms of emails, chats, call log etc were duly submitted in the application.
We first did an engagement ceremony, followed by a court marriage and a reception ceremony. Photos of each ceremonies were submitted as a part of application. We did not do an actual marriage as per Hindu traditions because my (Bride's) father has passed away and he is the done who would have done performed the ceremony of handing over the bride to groom called as 'Kanyadaan'.
Now CIC wants photos of our wedding ceremony. We do have some additional photos (not send previously) which area almost similar to traditional Hindu marriage from our court marriage where the bride and groom are exchanging garlands, seeking blessings of family members, taking vows in front of marriage registrar, groom adorning mangalsutra (holy necklace) in bride's neck etc.
Need your inputs on how best we can reply to CIC:
a. Send the additional photos along with the explanation of ceremonies in the photo?
b. Send the additional photos along with explanation of ceremonies in the photo PLUS explain as to why we did not do traditional marriage?
c. Any other option that you guys would suggest?
Thanks in advance.
