I finally got response from CIC today since Feb. 29, 2016

I want to share my experience concerning this situation. Immediately I got my PPR I sent a mail to Ottawa office requesting them to change my wife Visa office to Nigeria and I sent my Passport to Ottawa. Thereafter I called CIC call center and the agent that attended to me told me that whenever i received my Passport back I should go and land immediately and the inform the officer that will attend to me at the boarder that my dependent family are in Nigeria, she said that once I land they will send me a letter for my wife to submit her passport at Ghana visa office.
I landed yesterday and I told the officer that attended to me about my situation, he told me everything was fine. Today I received a response from Ottawa for my wife to submit her Passport to Accra Ghana Visa office.

I guess you can wait a bit, but I don't think should be necessary bit if CIC is asking to wait, better do it.

You can land anytime if you have COPR and Passport back, but if you're going to travel with your family is better do it together

It's paramount landing before COPR expires

The instruction included in the package says that "If we have informed you that the permanent Resident Visa for any of your accompanying family members will be issued by different visa office, you cannot become a PR until that visa office has issued the Permanent Resident visa to your family members" by my understanding of English grammar this does not say that you cannot go to the boarder because they have not informed you that their visa will be issued in different office in actual fact that was the instruction you are waiting for. Until you land you will not receive any response.

Hi -

I send a request to change my wife's visa office to Islamabad on 24 Mar 2016, still waiting for a response.

Anyone in the same boat? Do you guys know how long one has to wait to get a response from CIC?

Thanks.

do you have a reply? I had similar situation. I got back Passport and CoPR from Ottawa this week, and they sent me a new PPR email for my spouse a week ago regarding changing the office. The CoPR instruction makes me wonder if I should land now or wait until my spouse received her passport and CoPR.

Let me know your experiences.

Thanks!
