12 weeks for me. But I think BLS is partially to be blamed for the delay. For 4 weeks, they did not open my envelope. If they were a bit more prompt, I would have had my OCI card in 8 weeks or so.

I would say that VFS may be marginally better than BLS. But again, this can vary from location to location.

Ottawa is slow. I got my OCI yesterday (I too am an Ottawa applicant) with an acknowledgement date of May 25th. You will likely see some progress in the next week or 10 days. Cheers!

If they are US citizens, the e-visa is still available to them. Its just UK and Canadian citizens that are affected.

No idea. There has been a push from various entities and associations to reinstate e-visas, but there has been no progress so far. Citizens of the UK are also affected by the suspension of e-visa. This is why, I applied for an OCI card. Good luck!

I just checked my OCI card and I too see that the print seems to cast a bit of a shadow below it. In order to not feel disappointed by the print quality, I am going to treat this as a 3-D effect or a security feature ;)

Hey Congratulations on getting your OCI. It must feel like a relief. I agree, the print quality is not the greatest. Isn't India supposed to be the IT capital of the world? I wonder what happens when it comes to consular matters. My address seems to be complete in my case, but other applicants...

Normally you should be able to collect it. You can try calling BLS - occasionally they are helpful ;)

Hello everyone. In anticipation of my OCI card, I was looking at tickets to Delhi and Mumbai and it looks like the prices are astronomically high at this time of the year. Do you have tips or advice on what you do to find better deals? Any input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much :)

Where did you apply? Ottawa or Toronto? I suggest calling BLS every couple of days asking for an update. I applied at BLS Ottawa and they did not even open my envelope for a month. It was super unsettling. After repeated calls, I finally saw an update on the BLS portal. Good luck.

My tracking number has been activated and my envelope is currently in transit. I may get the OCI today or tomorrow. You could expect to receive yours very soon. :)
