Request for passport for stamping

Hi All,

I received a letter from CIC to submit a passport for stamping PR on July 28th, 2021 and they asked me to submit a passport within 30 days. I saw that email today which is a month after the deadline. Can someone advise what can I do here? Desperately seeking answers.

This is sheer bad luck I think but I never received a notification alert.

Anyone had a similar experience?

Many were in your situation. Look at here. One person missed the email by 1 year but IRCC requested for new medicals to issue PPR. May I ask whats your stream and was your email found in the spam folder??

Thank you so much. This is really helpful. My medical was done in Feb 2020 and the CIC website says my medical was cleared on July 28th 2021, would they still request for new medicals?

Would any recommend sending the passports, the letter a pre-paid envelope and the photos to the address, just in case they would stamp it. What could be the downside? Would they misplace my passport?

Just contact IRCC. You will know. Don’t waste anymore time.

Thank you. I already contacted them and let them know that for some reason we never got the email alert and were focused on getting caccine shots for family members. Hope they show some sympathy snd leniency towards me.

My mom was sick in india so all our attention was there and my application was put on hold for such a long time that i had lost hope and we were focused on getting everyone in the family vaccinated. So that email just skippe.. its a very reasonable thing. When you dont hear from IRCc for one year almost then suddenly an email goes un noticed.. not a shocking and unbelievable story

Nothing other than contact your processing Visa office and provide evidences and reports to support your story.

Don't worry things happens for a reason, you should have travelled a while ago but you meant to be right your place now.

Were you allowed PPR extension. In a similar situation where PPR email was not received and its 3 months overdue. Raised webforms already, and sent email to the visa office as well.
