What’s your end goal with this anyways?

If it’s to make a statement, it’s not like the Canadian government will care. Plus, given you are even allowed to renounce your citizenship in the first place, this would only hurt you; and boy, will it hurt you.

You won’t be able to get any jobs, any healthcare provisions nor will the majority of people be willing to offer you a house to rent. You won’t be able to access your bank accounts and you won’t be able to drive a car (legally). You will still face the force of Canadian law exactly as everyone else, except without access to any of the aforementioned rights.

The only way you can do any of the above is by registering yourself with the government which would be make your whole renunciation redundant. And boy will you have to wait a long time if you ever regret the decision - which you very likely will without access to any of above rights.

Nonetheless, this is your decision. It is very interesting however so do keep us posted on what ends up happening.

Good luck!

EDIT: By the way, I say this as something who experienced only a facet of statelessness in Canada during the past 3 years. Without any identification, I struggled immensely to get an identification (every place required an ID to get a bloody ID) and struggled horribly to even access my bank accounts. I can only imagine how life would be for someone who faces not only this facet of statelessness, but also every other equally horrifying facet of it. Once again, I wish you a lot of luck!
Thank you. The end goal is to become non citizen status. If being non citizen is awful, there are 191 countries including this one that are looking for people.

Yes I recommend you try immigration and then renounce your citizenship. The world is your oyster right now; however, that oyster fully shuts once you renounce your only citizenship.

Here is an example of a life lived while stateless. You’ll only face further injustices than what you may have undergone already. I don’t think that’s fair on yourself.

You could even consider some place like Svalbard as long as you are able to sustain yourself.

If you have any particular values that you wish your country of choice to uphold, do let me know; I am a huge geography nerd so maybe I could point you to the right direction.

OMG I am not sure if you're being willfully obtuse! The point isn't how they got stateless; the point is about the consequences of being stateless i.e no job, no healthcare, no home. Anyways, you do you, I couldn't care less. Good luck lol

Getting a traditional job will be tough, yes.

You can still be Canadian and not be a citizen, it's called non-citizen status. I literally spoke with the department head and even got Ministerial correspondence. If you're going to fear monger and spout lies do it elsewhere.

Could you please provide the info applying to your case? To be blunt, it sounds in direct contravention of the law.

https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/C-29/section-9.html

"a citizen may, on application, renounce his citizenship if he

(a) is a citizen of a country other than Canada or, if his application is accepted, will become a citizen of a country other than Canada;

(b) is not the subject of a declaration by the Governor in Council made pursuant to section 20;

(c) is not a minor;

(d) is not prevented from understanding the significance of renouncing citizenship by reason of the person having a mental disability; and

(e) does not reside in Canada."

Barring some special circumstances (eg status Indian or a few other rare exceptions), I fear the information you have is incorrect. And possible you are being purposefully misled. The law is clear.
