Dear All,

I am helping my friend to renew his family's PR Cards But we have a confusion, if you can please help.
His spouse was working full time. She worked for almost 2 years and then her job got redundant and she was laid off but as part of severance package she was getting her salary regularly for 4 months (like an employment, even after her termination date).
But after couple of weeks or her termination she got another job but on contract.
So while she was getting normal salary from previous job, she was also doing contract job, so itoverlapped for 2-3 months.

Query is while filling PR card renewal application can this cause an issue (in Employment history section) as there is an overlap of previous job salary and contract job.
This happened around 2.5-3 yrs back. Other than this they fulfil all other conditions to renew the PR Card.

Please help! Thanks!

People have 2-3 jobs at a time, so what is the problem with overlap? Besides, she was not employee of the earlier company only receiving income from that. Report as the things happened and not based on income. That’s what I think. Others can comment

They want to know employment history, not income history.
While she was receiving her package on a monthly bases, she wasn't employed by her old employer any more.

Btw, This wasn’t my question
