Wife's big problem on her PR card

thank you for sharing to us your story. so to make it clear, the immigration officer at the airport didn't report your wife -- that is, just before you left the airport, the immigration officer didn't mention to your wife anything about her being reported? if the immigration officer at the airport didn't mention anything about reporting your wife, then i would assume that your wife is still a PR and needs to stay in Canada for 2 years straight before attempting to renew her PR card. Please clarify. Thanks.

so sorry for the late reply. my wife and myself went around these past few days. anyway, as to your questions whether the immigration officer at the airport didn't report my wife before we left the airport and whether he mentioned anything about my wife being reported? here are my answers. on the first question, i safely assumed that he reported my wife because he was encoding something while asking questions to my wife and encoding took several minutes. as for the second question, i didn't hear him said that he will report or reported my wife. however, he told my wife that she can be deported because she came here with a PR card & status expiring on Aug. 1. but that statement made by that immigration officer is not only reckless but also wild and irresponsible based on our visit in the immigration office in toronto. my wife is still a PR because she came to canada with a valid PR card and status which will just expire on Aug. 1. for her to continue her PR status and at the same time renew it, she has to complete the 730 days residency requirement here in canada.

It doesn't quite work like that. If on entry she was reported for not meeting her PR residency requirements, CBSA doesn't admit her so that she can meet the residency requirements by remaining 730 days. She is usually reported, given a copy of the report and an appeal notice. In which she would have 30 days to apply to the IAD to appeal the decision.
