Hi everybody,

I am hoping that you can help me. My partner and I applied for PR together back in October 2014. We got our RPRF this week and went to Service Ontario to renew our health cards, as is our entitlement given that CIC confirmed that we are eligible to apply. Unfortunately, all correspondence is in my partner's name and does not quote my UCI and Service Ontario refused to renew my health card. We are on implied status as of tomorrow which why we need to use our RPRF for eligibility to apply for renewal. Has anybody else had experience of this and what did you do to remedy the situation? Thanks in advance.

Just a question, you mention being on implied status, but have you (or your partner) applied for a BOWP yet?

Ok good, I just wanted to check, you'd be surprised what some of the people on this forum think!

As for the OHIP, I'm sorry I can't help, I know I was extended for three months here in Alberta, but it seems Ontario is different.

Best of luck!

in ontario you need to have valid work permit to renew ohip. i have faced this multiple times with the service ontario. until we show them our valid work permit/BOWP they continue to refuse to renew the ohip.

My partner got his, you need to have received RPRF but you are entitled.

You don't receive RPRF. The Right of Permanent Residence Fee is something that you have to pay.

Are you talking about receiving the request to pay the RPRF?
