I am applying for a remote position with a foreign company not based in Canada. The company is based in a foreign country and has its office there. All workers are remote.
They work in partnership (Joint Member Networks?) with other companies globally to promote a social agenda, and are registered as a charitable organisation. Each country that participates in this movement has their own company and they offer memberships,. They call them 'Joint Member Networks' and when someone gains membership they also gain automatic membership to the company im applying for.
Would this kind of work need a work permit? I cant figure it out. I guess the question of whether i would or wouldn't need a work permit is whether companies and charities specifically that partner together in a Joint Member Network are considered 'clients or customers'.
I truly dont know if i can do this work in Canada without a work permit. If anyone has any insight i would appreciate it.
