Not from government officials, but from local online forums, comment sections of cbc.ca, globe&mail, the star, national post etc.
I know this is just a vocal minor group, but they can always send a letter or voice their concerns to their local MPs.

i think those r a few couch activist not canadian view . some in alberta do have concerns though

The ITA is for the principal applicant in the pool, but he/she will have parents/grandparents/siblings/children/spouses etc that can all apply to enter Canada through sponsorship (Family Class) and it's not through EE

I read that the quota for family class was 80,000 in 2016

I used to work as a holiday representative in a hotel. My guests that were having a great time and enjoying themselves would never pack up all their stuff early on the beach and come to see me at work just to say what a great job I was doing.... BUT those guests that were unhappy - WELL that was different..... I had one guy stood in reception in Speedos just to complain about something (not a lie!)

Very good info. I am particularly interested about that sentence as in my association we sent a letter to the immigration office so that researchers with PhD can access more easily to PR

Facilitate more offers of arranged employment for candidates who are exempt from
needing to obtain an LMIA for temporary purposes, including those on work permits
pursuant to international agreements, or who bring significant benefit to Canada (e.g.
Intra-company transferees, distinguished researchers, etc.)"

Yeah I saw that, I think I saw on a news release once that it's more related to visiting professors, so I'm not sure if it covers PhD/Postdocs - we can only hope...
