still no regards to profession . people with LMIA will still get more points and scores will not go down if they still get extra points reducing points from 600 to 100 is not going to change anything unless they make it 20 points then may be . I am not sure I may be wrong but lets see what they come up with

True but they also say they're considering making it easier to get a job in certain professions without LMIA and that it doesn't have to be permanent to qualify for PR, which means it's going to be easier to have the job offer points.

Very good information. Atleast something new and with the ray of hope. My wife is a primary applicant and the present CRS is 439 and would reduce by 5 points in September, 2016 due to HAPPY BIRTHDAY.... So, it would be 434 for atleast September 2017. We dont have any options to increase the score, as my wife cant increase her education level (two or more degree), IELTS is already Band 10. I have supported her with 28 points - 10 for masters and 18 for IELTS. Overall, our score is 439 and will drop to 434 in September.

We dont have a job and relative in canada. Any chance we would get the ITA with the new rules or we will get the fair level playing field. The only reason, we are scoring less is because of the age. My wife is 35 years old and I am 40.

What are your thoughts?

I honestly don't know Pawshi, as I'm in the same situation with age as you. I've seen some sources advising the government to relax the restrictions on age, and some sources advising the government to target the 25-39 age bracket.

It really depends on whether the government decide to change the way in which points are given for age or not.

That needs a crystal ball I'm afraid :-X

Good news for FSW with high scores in the EE pool as they may have CRS scores even higher than some lower skilled workers with job offers

Let's hope!
As long as they increase no of ITAs everyone will be happy. I'm not an international student but to be fair I think priorities should be them, then young fsws and then people with job offers. Pnp is the dumbest system I saw in my life though

Interestingly the only section missing from the observation are outland skilled workers namely FSWs
Neither can be safely predicted about the range of upcoming CRSs
Even if student gets extra bonus points for the education the situation seems to be fluidic because expectingly marks will be different for bachelors,masters,phd
In the end ,upcoming ita/crs seems to be a mystery

As of May 2016, almost 22,900 Express Entry candidates or their accompanying family
members landed as permanent residents since the launch of Express Entry.

The target for new immigrants into Canada was around 180,000 in 2015?

Who are the rest of the 160,000 immigrants?

I am also surprised that they have only issued around 44,000 ITA from the EE pool over the course of 1.5 year..... That's such a low number.

What are the other major streams/channels that most new immigrants apply for PR and landed?

I saw on the cerc letter of recommendations to McCallum that it says it's just a summary of a more "in-depth version to be submitted in September"

I'm thinking that probably means McCallum has given the stakeholders a few weeks to submit their official responses, so he'll still be in the planning stages until he's read through all the responses and discussed them with his bros

Not betting on the immigration plan coming out early this year..
