You mean UCI? Yes. I'm just not sure if it's in LA or not. I got the letter stating it's going there. *grumble* I don't understand CIC sometimes. If this was missing they should have told us *sigh* Should I wait until they ask for it or send it? I just filled it out, with me being the spouse obviously. Hubby is the laid back one, I'm the freaked out one lol.

Yes, UCI and the file number for the applicant. This CIC system is too complicated! But as far as I understood, you will have a UCI number and the applicant will have an application number. I've been told that both numbers are given on the approval letter. Mine will arrive in a few months, so I haven't seen one yet :) . Give it a week and then send it to them.

Yes, spouse will be you. It's odd they are asking this, but I guess this is a generic form. Not just for spouse/partner applications.

Thank you! I do have the UCI and file number, sent to me, the sponsor. But hubby recieved nothing, so not sure if he has an application number or not. Our file was "transferred" to LA on June 5th so I would think it would be there by now. I'll probably find out if I can fax there (I would assume so!) and fax a copy of it with cover letter. Maybe mail one too to cover all my bases. Frick! I don't know how I missed that, I'm a perfectionist and didn't see it! If I didn't have a broken foot, I'd kick myself in the butt LOL. Sorry for hijacking!

I think file number should be the same as application number. I've been told it start with a letter. So in eCAS, you can put your UCI number and your info, or the file number and your husband's.

I'm sure you'll be fine :)

Thanks, I just told my husband we are faxing, e-mailing and mailing it to make sure it gets there on Monday. He's like "Okay dear" LOL Thankfully he puts up with my freaking out-ness :) I am still annoyed that I missed it! GRR.

Don't worry parker24....as others have said, at least you're already approved....if the CIC really wants it, I think they will ask you for it anyway.... ^_^.

On the positive side, it's good that I asked about that form, which eventually made you realise that you should've submitted it. Imagine I didn't ask about that form......perhaps you would've realised a lot later......?! ;D

Nah, don't worry :) you already got your approval, so you're good! When they need it, they will ask.

I specifically remember this because it freaked me out two times: first time when I noticed that we missed that my husband had to sign the section about not having kids, and second time right before sending it, I noticed the first question was asking for his family member names (including mine) in his native script!

Like I said, don't worry. It's not a big deal even if you haven't sent it. You are already approved, and they will ask for missing documents if they need it!

The family names thing also confused me...I just left my name as is (English), and translated the other names into Chinese.

Yeah, Parker24, I didn't mean to worry you...you're golden...you've already been approved...I'd go ahead and submit it once you know which VO is processing the file...make sure to write "NONE" in places that are not applicable (children, siblings, etc...)...it doesn't specify to do that, but I'd do it just to be safe (and even include a brief explanation attached to the back of that form).

Hi Parker24.....believe the UCI is identifying the sponsor and the Application Number indentifies the Applicant and that is why they request both numbers on correspondence.....

Really? Hrm. Because we just have file number and UCI. Hubby never got any letter or anything from CIC, only two things and they were addressed to me.

"Freaking Easy Application" I bet! :P

Hi everyone.... just wondering: does the CIC give back all of the relationship evidence/proofs? If so, at/after what stage do they return the stuff back to us?

Sometimes they do, but it seems that most people don't get anything back. I did get my photos back, but I really wasn't expecting to, so I just sent copies with my application. Best thing to do is send a copy of anything you would want back, just in case... we copied cards, concert tickets, etc. and had no problems :)

*SIgh*, then I guess the least we could do is write them a letter, asking them to return the stuff back to us when they're done right? We can say that those things have sentimental values to us, perhaps...
