Hi dear nano,
I am preparing to file under cat.7242 and therefore wish you could help to resolve my confusion.
I hold 4year bachelor degree in electrical engineering and have 18 yrs of experience. My JD mostly matches those with the NOC description. However, I held titles such as manager/sr. Engineer/jr.engineer during my job so far where my role remains supervisory in most position rather then hands like what may be expected on which may be expected from an industrial electrician.
As and bachelor degree holder, can I apply under industrial electrician (noc code 7242) category. As somebody giving me the idea that this may be viewed by VO as 'over qualification' and that amounts to rejection or may be put aside as an 'Schrödinger's cat' for a long long time!

Please help.
Thanks & regards,,
CanEra.

wat original education documents u send?

Hi friends,

I got my refusal letter yesterday and the reason they stated is that

"you have work experience in an occupation with the following code NOC-3112. Although you have not demonstrated that you have a minimum of one year of continues full-time or equivalent part time, paid work experience in the occupation in the last ten years."

Though i have an experience letter of ten years part time and 10 years full time. I am also thinking of asking them to reconsider my case. I would like some help in this regard. I would like you to tell me a rough sketch of experience certificate. I could really use some good advice here. I need to send my reconsideration letter as soon as possible so please its kind of urgent. I'll be looking forward to your help.

This is really weird.
A doctor is a doctor..
If you are working in a clinic or hospital as a doctor, than it should be sufficient.
what exactly have you provided with your forms.

I am sorry to hear your refusal of immigration application. I would like to give my 2 cent advice that don't waste your time and money for sending a reconsideration letter as these DUMB assessing officers will not give a sight to your letter and will not entertain your additional information. My case is a classical example of their Dumbness. Rather i will advise you to choose another stream of immigration to canada or wait for MI -4 . Regards and cheer up.

right, its always good to apply fresh rather than appeal.. they r really dump and dont care about us... :(

A one more example of how they wants to clear pre June applications , it's seems like they wants to clear the backlog by rejecting 70% of the applicants

All these rejections have me numb. I ceriously think its strategy to filter the backlog from the system cause how comes all of a sudden so many applicants job description is an issue. This is juet a case of too many applicants and they are unable to complete the process in th projected time frame so they are getting rid of many for the simplest thing.

That's what I mean by any means they want to clear backlog

After waiting for years its really bad to get rejected. they dont realize it. :o
