Rejection of Visitor visa/ weird officer's note

For the second time I got the rejection only because the purpose is inconsistent with a temporary stay.

I was going to take the last pharmacy test which only held in canada.

I ordered the notes and there was 8 notes:

I was very clear, I attached the exam invitation. And in the previous application I included a detailed itinirary in addition to stating that I would apply for a licence after passing more exams.

How to tackle that situation? What purpose of visiting more convincing than having an exam which only held in Canada. ( that info Included in the application)

How much did you show in proof of funds? What ties to your home country did you show / what evidence of this did you provide? Do you have previous travel to countries requiring visas?

Notes are not weird. You are not a visitor. You are not coming to visit but taking a test so you can work (past posts indicate Rexall) or immigrate to Canada, correct? And you are relying on a relative, who doesn’t live in Canada, to support your visit? So what ties did you show that you will return to home country (job, spouse/child, business, income properties etc.). You should be showing your own funds and not those of a brother who doesn’t live in Canada but UK.

I also stated that I intend to work temporarily after finishing the license. Which is very legitimate. I included that in a paragraph of my back ground then I added a separste paragraph for the trip.

Look, I have a friend in the same step. He was rejected and the reason was the purpose but also poor ties and the officer thaught he will not leave. I Only have the purpose.

More than 9K in addition to sponsor of 12 K as a back up as I remember

My ties include: family of 2 and wife working in the university in addition to my job, school profile for my daughter, and family business (private pharmacy),

No previous history.

What do you mean work temporarily? Do you have an approved LMIA? Closed work permit? What are your plans in Canada after you take the test? You are not a visitor that was the reason for rejection. Your intention is to “work temporarily”…whatever that means.

If plan is PR, then wait for ITA or nomination.

So you are not a true visitor…let’s agree on that. Your intention is to work in Canada and IRCC knows that so that is why you were refused. To IRCC, you will not leave but look for work. So you are trying to take PEBC? Have you even had a LMIA offer? Have you done any research on the changes to LMIAs in the past month? Province?

Or is intention to immigrate. If intention is for PR then focus on that. Get invited, get PR and then come to Canada and complete exam.

The officer didn’t need to mention overstay because your reason for refusal is that you are not a true visitor. Even more so that you only are spending like 2 days in Canada. Google - LMIA changes 2024. So many articles. Canada is cutting back on LMIAs and trying to stop fraud. What is your NOC? If long term intention is PR, then research Express Entry and see if NOC and score are selected. Honestly better for you to focus on PR, then once in Canada you can complete the licensing process and find job as PR.

Sorry for my many Qs I have nothing in my head other than the exam. I need to finish it within the next 18 months or my previous steps (exams) will expire. 3 yrs work and 6K CAD will evaporate

You really need to research a) Express Entry and see if eligible and what your score is, and b) select the province you would like to live in. Most PNPs are being revamped (e.g. Alberta) but you can look at eligibility. You would have done some research before starting the licensing process to know about eligibility to work and for PR. Most people focus on PR first and licensing once in Canada. You are doing it backwards.

You are also coming in at a time when the government is cracking down on LMIAs and limiting immigration. I believe you are a pharmacist so have a better chance of PR than most, if that was your intention when you started this journey.

I have seen that on Facebook. They have made it near imposible for ppl like me. I have seen a person stating that He had the visa and wants to "break it" and asks where to work illigally. I dont need to do so as I have a career and my career requires a legal status in Canada to practice.
