hi guys, I got a direct study permit rejection today.

Applied from Saudi Arabia as a Pakistani student.

Previous education BEng Civil engineering from Coventry University UK graduated July 2019.

Applied for GBMT in Gerogian college. Addressed why I chose this course in SOP.

Apllied July 26. Bio on August 11
Direct refusal on 6th September.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.

Could you guys guide me to a good gcm notes web. Which is quick and not that expensive.

Thanks

This is literally the 5th rejection in the last 12 hours from Pakistan. Sad man, I got rejected after AIP as well, I feel you.

Do order GCMS Notes: www.getgcms.com

Pay the CAD $20, fill up your details, and submit. They will then email you a consent form, fill it, print it, and sign it with a blue pen. After that, scan it and email the scanned (signed & filled) copy to their ConsentForm email (mentioned in the email you receive from getgcms). In around 24 hours they'll request your notes and email you the tracking number.

Good luck.

The amount of refusals in recent days suggests that they are most likely not looking at SOPs + additional documents for justifications of the selected course, study gap or any other issues that they notice during eligibility stage. If they don't feel like any obvious connection between your selected course, previous education AND employment that is entered in the Study Permit application, they just refuse it with generic points. The likely reason is not because of discrimination but rather the tight deadline of Sept 15 for Fall 2020 applications. It'll take 2-3x more time per application if they start to look at SOPs and other documentations for proof which will effect all other applications where things might be streamlined and needs less time to complete eligibility.

The thing is, don't be discourages by the decision and do not rush to re-apply. Apply for GCMS and wait for Winter 2021 or Fall 2021 and see how things turn out in next couple of months. For Winter 2021, you guys can apply in October. I am sure IRCC will announce further updates after Sept 15 since that's the first date they announced to finalize the maximum applications for Fall 2020. The amount of applications for Winter 2021 will be more than Winter 2020 but hopefully less than Fall 2020.

Pakistani applying from Saudi Arabia is weak ties to home country. Same people are applying for diploma when they have Master's degree. Why are you surprised with refusal?
I was born and raised in KSA. Most of my family is is in KSA. Plus I showed ties to home country in the form of property assessment. Got bachelors from UK. Now I was looking to gain Soft skills etc by studying GBMT

I Don't have any work experience unfortunately as I just graduated and then this covid 19 hit us. I do not know the process as well. Will look into it
Your previous qualification is a bit too high level when compared to the qualification you want to pursue in Canada, that mismatch is likely what they are objecting to.

I think they are clamping down hard on people who are applying with what they perceive is an obvious view of applying for immigration afterwards.

+1, agreed. But MOSTLY everyone who's getting rejected is a Pakistani, any ideas why? Like, 80% rejections in the past 5 days were Pakistanis.

Will find out on the GCMS notes . If this is the case. Then I can change my program to a MBA perhaps

We had few refusals from India today and in last few days as well (and from other countries I am sure). The thing is, not everyone is going to come and post here that they are refused. They'll either drop off or re-apply and come back later on. I've noticed in PSA group and on this forum that students from Pakistan are constantly posting about refusals (it kind of became a trend recently when multiple refusals came in). Even though I ask for the timelines AND profile but TBH, it seems all perfect when someone writes about it, but how that is presented in application is another story. You can provide all the evidences but if they are confusing for VO, (s)he will not put the effort to declutter or decode it (Remember, Visa officers are not from Pakistan so they are not too familiar with the language and/or format of the documents which could seem perfectly normal for us, but not for them). Agents from sub-continent tends to over crowd the application with tons of documentation proving relationships, finances and what not. Sometimes that becomes the reason for refusal because the application presents itself as the applicant is trying too hard to prove things. Some time, try to follow KISS (Keep it simple silly) and only upload / provide what is asked for. If in case you are refused for something, do provide documentation for it the next time. This shows and proves a change in the application. If you go All-in for the first time, how can you justify yourself if a refusal comes in for next time?

As for too many refusals, the thing is, Visa Offices are not rolling out final decisions for approvals, once that starts to come in, many will be approved I am sure. For now, they are not holding refusals but approvals because no one can fly any way to Canada but at least a refusal will allow the applicant to either re-apply or try some place else.

Makes sense.
