Regarding photos I send with application

Hey guys. I'm talking about the 8 "immigration" photos that the government needs. I have them from my wife already, but I'm wondering if they should be signed behind or not?

I can't find that answer ANYWHERE!

Besides that, application just has to be taped shut and sent out .

No it doesn't need to be signed, you just need to have: On the back of each photograph, write the name and date of birth of the person who appears in the photo as well as the date the photo was taken.


8 PHOTOS
Supply eight (8) recent photos for each member of your family and yourself. Read the instructions
in your guide in the following sections:
• “Completing the Immigration Forms” and,
• Appendix B: Photo Specifications.
On the back of each photograph, write the name and date of birth of the person who appears in

Note: Group photographs will not be accepted. You may be asked to provide supplementary

What do you mean by group photographs?

It might mean you can't have more than one person on the photos. it has to be taken per Appendix B's guidelines.

Find your country specific guide. Mine didn't mention anything on what to do with the photos so they were sent as is.

According to Guide 5289, Appendix C, (updated 06 Feb 2014), these are the current photo requirements for Inland applicants:

Notes to the photographer

The photographs must:

* show a full front view of the person’s head and shoulders showing full face centred in the middle of the photograph;
* have a plain white background;
* be identical (black and white or colour) produced from the same untouched negative, or exposed simultaneously by a split‑image or multi‑lens camera;

The photographs must:

* measure between 25 mm and 30 mm (1”and 1 3/8”) from chin to crown;
* have a 35 mm x 45 mm (1 3/8” x 1 3/4”) finished size.


The information from the document checklist (updated Jan 2014) says nothing about the back of the photographs:

PHOTOGRAPHS

Two (2) photos of the applicant and any of his or her dependent children in Canada. Refer to Appendix C for photo specifications. Insert photos in a
separate envelope and staple envelope to the Schedule A - Background/Declaration (IMM 5669) form, taking care the staple does not go through the
photos (photos of the applicant's dependent children over 18, who are in Canada should be attached to their application forms)

I was going to say - I don't remember anything about signing or writing on the back!!

Depends on the applicant's country of origin, apparently.

My wife needed 9.Requirements are country specific.

U.K Outland ,just send the x8 in .I called cic plus got some reassurance off this forum .No signatures needed i got half stamped and left the other 4 plain .
