Hi all....
I am completely new for this... me and my spouse are now thinking to try for canadian PR/ FSW as we heard the re-submission for the application starts from 1st july 2012.... we also went for consultation with some agents.... i have registered for IELTS GT for this june 30 ......... For the nearest date according to our situation we can apply on 15th of this july after we receive the IELTS original certificate....
but i have a problem on this because i would already lose our 15 days from the opening date....
is it possible that we could get any seat for the choosen NOC if we apply on 15th .... what if the required quota is full ..... ? please suggest me about it....... also please let me know what would be the best thing i can do in my situation because i have everything to make 67 points except IELTS certificate for general training for which i need to wait till 15th july. however i also have academic IELTS certification still valid.......
Regards....

Academic IELTS is useless and won't be accepted. You need to include general IELTS results with your application or it will be rejected.

Which NOC are you applying for? If you are thinking of applying for NOC 1122, then submitting your application on July 15th will be too late. The cap was reached on/around July 7th last year and will fill up even faster this year.

thanks scylla,

However as my experience of 8+ years ...I also have an option of 4152 as a social worker with 4+ years of experices....... but i am confused if i could apply for 2 NOC at a same time through one application........ 1122 and 4152........... is it possible???

Go for social worker and avoid the 3 month wait for the docs to be returned. You are good for 6 months with social worker, that is if it is on the list this time around!

Hi Trevor and Jo, It looks you are an expert, I'm applying for 2171, do you know if its going to be filled up quickly?

Where are you taking IELTS? What town, country?

I am far from being an expert, I had a friend that applied under social worker and that was one of the last NOC's to fill up. Not sure what 2171 is? I could look at CIC website and try and remember what was full and what was not. Just be ready to submit at the earliest opportunity and do so with your IELTS in done.
