Hello,

My and my wife's PR got excepted and now we are at the stage of (Finalizing the permanent residence confirmation process ) in this ircc provide us our PR portal details where we need to declare that we are in Canada and need to add the address and photo for PR card dispatch. Now I'm in Canada I can declare but my wife is in India and never been in Canada so how I can declare for her?

Thank you

When you responded to the email with the biography info, you should have told IRCC that your wife was still in India. If you told them that, they would create a portal login with only your info and then send her info to the nearest Canadian embassy for processing. So when you login in, you will only have the option of declaring yourself in Canada and the COPR process would continue until you get the PR card. You or your wife would get a ready for visa email/letter for her to visit the embassy for COPR stamping. She would get the COPR and a PR visa to travel to Canada. Her COPR would be signed at the border when she lands in Canada.

That is the process if you told IRCC that you are in Canada and your wife was in India.

Great. There is a delay time between you getting COPR and her because more steps are involved when using the embassy. Did you explicitly state which embassy she would use? You can respond to the portal email again with the info and inquire about when she would go to the embassy. They may not respond to the email but they will read it and act accordingly. The webform is good as well. Just have to wait now.

I got married after my eAPR so I contacted IRCC and told them about the married status and want to include my wife PR in my application too, then they provided me with a package for the spouse and I completed, and submitted it. Then they sent me a Biometric letter for my spouse in that letter it stated that you can visit any nearby VAS center and complete the biometrics process, So my wife did that. Afterwards, I got an email for the PR portal and it stated that send some basic details that where you and your spouse are so for me I wrote I'm in Canada while my wife is in India but Still they added her in the PR portal for in Canada declaration. Now the webform I have sent to IRCC is that I'm in Canada but my wife is in India so she cannot able to do the declaration in PR portal. Should I have to add any other details?

That's fine but you should also respond to the PR email again telling them that your wife is not in Canada and can not use the portal for declaration. And ask them to update the portal details and forward her COPR and visa to the nearest embassy. That's all you can do now until they respond with the changes. I would also call the IRCC contact number to inform them about your outland wife, the agent can send a message to the Visa Office that is processing your application.
