refund?

i have paid online from outside canada and apparently many ppl who did that got their file returned. Fortunately i did not send my file yet. unfortunately i have no idea how to request refund. i tried the contact us on Cic website but they said to contact local visa office, i'm sure they will have no idea how to answer my question cause they never answer anyways.

Which cat did u apply? Off-Campus Work Permit? Study Permit? FSW?

If it is a FSW, what do u mean by 'online'. Is it thru Credit Card? In that case u might have filled the IMM 5620 alongwith your apps and mailed them the forms, right?

ok i need to explain more lol
i was going to apply as FSW and paid by credit card online from outside canada, printed the receipt, and filled form 5620. then before i send my application i saw here on this forum that some ppl who did the exact same thing got their files returned due to wrong payment method so i decided not to send my application and ask for a refund so i can do it the right way ie. using the 5620 form to give them authorization to charge my card instead of me paying directly online.

If it is FSW, filling the IMM 5620 alongwith the apps is PERFECTLY FINE. Your aps WILL NOT COME BACK, unless the C/Card transaction failed.

As u say that it has already gone thru (though I don't understand how?), ur next step is to send the complete apps & the IMM 5620, duly signed. Why r u hanging on to it beats me? What's the scare? Once again, this mode of payment is absolutely CORRECT.

i don't understand how either, i went to http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/index.asp paid fees for myself husband and child and within seconds got confirmation from bank that amount was cashed.
so basically i should go ahead send the application and wait and see!
