after submitting an online application how much time it took to get AOR? I heard it works in 3 4 days.
This email confirms that you have successfully submitted your permanent residence application.

We’ll review your application to make sure you:

  • provided all of the information we asked for
  • uploaded all required documents correctly
  • paid the fees

We’ll send you a confirmation email (an acknowledgement of receipt or AOR) once an agent has confirmed your application is complete.

so what is next?
You will be looking at a year or more just for the AOR. For example I applied in 2020 January and get AOR March 2021 and until now it still in background check. So it case by case.

I think it is about case to case I know 2 3 people who applied in feb 21 and got pr in jan 2022 and one applied in October 21 and got pr in April 21 so always be positive :)

In my "Generic application form for Canada (IMM 0008)", my dependent (child) form status remains "Missing Information" although I did fill all the information. Anyone has same problem? Spouse form is Complete.

Hello
I am in same scenario, please let me know which one turned out correct answer: yes or no? Thank you!
Hi guys,
I have a question. For imm5669 Schedule A, there is a question like :
Have you or, any of your family members listed in this application, ever: made previous claims for refugee protection in Canada or at a Canadian visa office abroad, in any other country(ies) or territory(ies), or with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR)?
Do I need to answer YES for this one because I am applying for PR under the refugee stream?

Hello Linda,
I am also facing same issue. I have filled all the information in the generic form of the dependent child, but still it's showing missing information and I am unable to move ahead. Please advise how you get resolved the problem of missing information. Thanks

Thank you. Which way is it good for those who are residing outside Canada?
There is no way to apply directly. You would need to be living outside of your home country and be recognized as a refugee in the country where you are currently living. Then you would need to find a sponsor in Canada who is willing to sponsor you to come to Canada. This would normally be a family member or close friend.
