1. Phone the panel physicians where you live and ask. http://www.cic.gc.ca/pp-md/pp-list.aspx but you are probably covered under IFHP
Coverage for the Immigration Medical Exam (IME)

  • for most categories of beneficiaries, the IFHP also covers the cost of one IME and IME-related diagnostic tests required under the Immigration Refugee Protection Act
The benefits covered by the IFHP have certain limits including maximum dollar amounts. For more details, please consult the IFHP benefit grids.

So people who are immigrating the regular way pay that not fair you guys should be paying for medicals like everyone else

if medical is covered under IFHP, what will be the next steps ? can you share your experience

many thanks,

Book an appointment with designated medical center at nearby to you.
In Appointment date, show them to your refugee claimants photo ID.
Rest of the procedure they will take initiative.
After medical examination, they will send electronic medical report/result to CIC office.

Thanks for your reply spiritual soul, but my point is medical examination is already done & electronic medical report/result was sent to CIC office last september. but after that no single email from CIC. any clue what's going to come next ?

ok or at least pay A little fee like 50
why is this an issue? like said earlier refugees sometimes have no to little money. if they're getting funding to have their medical fees waived then why not. when you're applying as a skilled worker and you have a large enough proof of funds you should be able to afford your medicals

This post is made was from months ago.

ok but it responding to another poster on here
well exactly, you mentioned earlier it is unfair that refugees don't pay for their medical fees unlike the rest of us. i wasn't sure why you see it as unfair that's all. and 50 may be a small fee for you but isn't the case for a lot of people around the world.
