Thanks for the response.

do you know what they will ask in hearing?? and what documents they require in hearing?

Pls guide
How do i know what questions they will ask related to your personal circumstance, evidences and submission? or what document? You should direct that question to your lawyer..

thanks a lot for this information.

Can u pls also guide. what is the next step after getting work permit??

The income assistance provided is unlikely to be enough to live on. Many are living in homeless shelters even when they receive income assistance because they can not find or afford housing. Are you from India? If so, it can be extremely difficult to get asylum application approved. Do you have proof of you or your family’s persecution and do you have proof that you have moved to other regions of India and still faced persecution. Proof of hospital records, police records, etc. There have been significant asylum applications especially in the past year so it could take up to 2+ years to get a hearing and then another 2 years to get PR. Most are not reunited with family until they get PR so many are separated from their families for 3+ years but often much longer. If your life is at risk of course it is worth it but many are counselled that this is an easy road to obtain PR with guaranteed approval and that is far from the case.

they will ask you questions about your basis of claim (the reason you are applying for asylum) and they want evidence/proof/documents supporting the reason you are claiming asylum in canada.
the judge needs to believe based on what you wrote, what you say, how you answer your questions and the situation in your home country that you are in need of canada's protection.
Good luck!

Bill S-233

What is your question? This bill is not law and there are a number of steps to complete before this becomes law. Also, it's not guaranteed to become law and may still fail.

My question for you? Are you on welfare?

lets make a hope to become law and get approved

Please don't be counting on this. The general opinion is that chances are quite high it is going to fail.

Seriously? I thought liberals will pass the legislation!

There are a number of different steps to passing a bill. So just because it passes one stage doesn't mean it will pass the next. The process can also take years. Just want to set your expectations on how this works.

Also, this bill, if passed, doesn't actually introduce a guaranteed basic income. All it would do is create a national framework / policy for GBI. Each province would then take time to review that policy and how to implement. So if the bill is approved, there is no immediate impact at all.
